Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon

Manoj Parulekar is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Birmingham Childrens Hospital, the second largest children's hospital in the United Kingdom.

He is nationally and internationally renowned for his contribution to the diagnosis and treatment of squints and droopy eyelids (ptosis) in children and adults, and the management of children's eye disorders. He has special expertise in the treatment of eye cancers in children (ocular oncology) and is consultant ophthalmologist to the Birmingham Retinoblastoma Unit, the largest nationally designated retinoblastoma centre in the UK.

Mr Parulekar has published widely in scientific journals and contributed to highly regarded text books in ophthalmology.
